Family Pictures

We only have two or three photos of my entire family from my childhood. Unfortunately, Corey has the same feelings about being photographed as my dad did, which makes it very difficult to get a family picture. Too bad to both of them!! Crazy Camera Lady is here, snapping away, o as not to miss out on any more important family milestones!! Seriously--I love documenting our lives with photos. I am not the greatest photographer, but I have a pretty good collection of digital files of us all!

So I had to post a photo of my family for my work website, and we did not have a decent current one. Of course Zach had a black eye the week it was due, so we couldn't get a new one. So I set up my cheap Sony Cybershot in the backyard and aimed it and put on the self timer. The following were decent, although Zoey was not in a smiling mood. :( So which one is best? The flash went off in the first one, and it has the best lighting. All the others have mediocre lighting, and it was hard to get us all looking and smiling and not appearing like I'm on drugs. So any votes for which one to put up for work?

And here are some random pics of the family, including Mom's visit. It was so great to have she and Natalie out here, I cannot even explain! They are both angels and helped me out so much. I miss them like crazy already!

That's How She Rolls!

Look at the determination in her face!!
Zoey seems to be on close to the same schedule as Zachary for rolling over at about 4 months old, only this girl is so sugary-sweet and thoughtful that she waited until both Corey and I were present for her first complete rolls!! I was disappointed that I was at work and Corey was home the first time Zach rolled over, so it was a big treat to be present for Zoey's big milestone! It was funny, because she did it exactly two weeks before while she was lying on the couch between Corey and I. We sort of counted it, but the couch may have had an incline to help her. The "real" time she was enjoying some Tummy Time on the floor, and Corey and I both looked right as she rolled over. She didn't seem half as shocked as we both were!
And those round, juicy cheeks--could you just chomp into them, or what??!!!

Here she is trying at it a few weeks ago
Zoey doesn't get a lot of floor time since I'm afraid Big Brother might accidentally stomp on her, so I was impressed that it happened so soon. I am in absolutely no hurry for her to be mobile, since I will now have two little rascals to chase after. With Zach, everything has seemed like a race (against no one) to see how early he could be doing everything. He was rolling over at 4 months, crawling around 6 months, walking around 10 months, and on and on. Now I realize he just sped through those milestones too darn fast!! I just want Zoey to be my baby for as long as possible, so hopefully I won't be posting a blog about her crawling for awhile!!
And here she is a few days ago from start to finish!

Speaking of "rolls," look at these sweet little thighs!
She really isn't chubby at all, but when she flexes her legs, these rolls show up!

TA DA!!! We need a big smile here!

Yeah, I could just eat her up!
